Question 31 - we asked:

The new shared use path along the B1285 from Hetton le Hole is of huge benefit to cyclists on this National Speed Limit road but on reaching Murton it isn't clear if cyclists should remain on the narrower footway or rejoin the road.

What are your views on whether cyclists should rejoin the road despite the increasing volume of traffic encountered towards Dalton Park and the A19? Should there be a clearly signed route on quieter estate roads and then a shared use path after say Woods Terrace enabling people to safely cycle to Murton, Dalton Park, Seaham or the National Cycle Network Route 1?
